We recently had the honor of refreshing the packaging for Mili, a cherished brand under the Wagh Bakri umbrella. Mili comes in three variants: Leaf, Dust, and Fanning, and its heart lies in the rural regions of western India.

Mili's packaging has seen a myriad of changes over the years from featuring female figures to spotlighting the humble tea cup as the star. Wagh Bakri approached us for similar yet unique approach.
Their brief was clear: the design needed to stay true to its roots and leverage its rich legacy, ensuring we didn’t stray too far from its recognizable colors and essence.

During our brainstorming sessions, we noticed something interesting—the Mili logo, when compared to its competitors, had a surprising resemblance to detergent brands rather than tea. To honor its legacy, we made only minor tweaks, ensuring it retained its timeless appeal. The results were fantastic, the refreshed logo and packaging came together beautifully.

Tribute to
Hardworking
Farmers
Drawing inspiration from this heritage, we crafted a backdrop illustration of a serene tea garden. This served a dual purpose: it was a tribute to the hardworking tea farmers and added a visually pleasing balance to the tea cup, which remained the hero on the front of the pack. The tea splash from the logo into the cup added just the right touch of movement and excitement.

Our commitment didn’t end with design. We oversaw the entire post-production process to ensure that the final product matches our vision perfectly. A design, no matter how great, must be executed flawlessly to do it justice. Earlier this year, we proudly watched as the new Mili packs hit the market, one variant at a time. It was a joyous moment for our team, knowing we had been part of this journey from conceptualization to the final print.
